YMCA Membership













Everyone is Welcome!

The Hensel Eckman YMCA is a non-profit organization open to all people. If you cannot afford the full cost of a YMCA program or membership, please ask for a confidential Bridging the Gap scholarship application. Financial assistance, to the fullest extent possible, is available to those in need. Should you need further assistance or information, please contact the YMCA.

Financial Assistance is supported in part through contributions to the YMCA’s We Build People Campaign.

Membership Rates

Household Membership*: $61 per month and $50 one-time Joiner's Fee

Adult Membership (19+): $40 per month and $30 one-time Joiner's Fee

Student Membership (must be a full-time student): $27 per month and no Joiner's Fee

Youth Membership: $15 per month and no Joiner's Fee

* A Household, for the purpose of membership in the YMCA , is defined as: Two adults living in a household with their dependents, if any. The number of adults would be limited to two, unless other adults in the household qualify as dependents and are claimed on either of the primary adults’ tax return. Dependents could include full time college students, elderly parents or disabled adult children.

Corporate Rates and Financial Assistance are available.

Membership Payment Methods

A member may pay for their membership in the following ways:

  • Full Year’s Membership Fees: Cash, Check or Credit Card
  • Quarterly: Cash, Check or Credit Card
  • Monthly: Bank Draft (EFT), Credit Card, or Payroll Deduction (for those who qualify)

No cash or check for monthly payment

Membership Policy

  • No youth member may be in the YMCA during school hours.
  • Children 11 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult while in the YMCA unless enrolled in a YMCA program.
  • A member must be at least 13 years old and have completed an orientation to be in the Cardio Room.
  • A member must be at least 16 years old and have completed an orientation to be in the Free Weight Room, or at least 14 years old, have completed an orientation and be with adult supervision. No one under 14 years of age is allowed in the Free Weight Room.

Guest Fees

Adults (over 18 years of age): $10 per visit

Youth (17 years old and younger): $5 per visit

AWAY Program (Memberships from other YMCA’s visiting the area)

  • First 24 visits per year at no change.
  • $5 a visit thereafter.

Hours of Operation                       

  • Monday - Friday           5:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday                       8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday                         1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Swimming Pool

  • The YMCA Pool closes 30 minutes before the facility closes.
  • Members must be 8 years old to be in the pool without a parent or, participating in a program.
  • Members must wear a swim cap if hair length is below the collar.

Wellness Center

  • Orientations are available upon request. Contact the Wellness Staff for an appointment.
  • Teens, ages 13 – 15 must complete the teen fitness training course to utilize the fitness center.
  • Must be age 16 to use the free weight room, or 14 & 15 with training course and adult supervision.
  • Children under 12 are not permitted in the fitness center or weight room.
  • The YMCA reserves the right to deny access to anyone for improper equipment use.

Gymnasium

  • Members who are in high school or younger are not allowed in the gym before 2:00 p.m., while school is in session, unless they are in an organized program.
  • Gymnasium availability varies.  Please refer to the Gym schedule for open gym times.
Racquetball Court
  • Racquetball courts are available from opening to closing daily for 1-hour sessions.
  • You may sign up for either court as early as 1day in advance with the Front Desk Staff.
  • Protective eyeware is mandatory for those under 18 years of age.  

Childwatch

  • Membership childcare is available. For more information please contact the Front Desk.

Lockers

  • Locker rentals are available for $2.00 per month for small lockers and $5.00 per month for larger lockers. Full size lockers are daily lockers for everyone’s use and can not be rented.
  • Day lockers are available, for day use only.  You are encouraged to bring your own padlock to secure your belongings.

Towel Service

  • We offer towel service to our members. 
  • Bath Towel Service, which is $8.00 per month for two towels per day. This fee may be added to your draft. (For family, $12.00 per month for four towels per visit)
  • Members may pay daily for bath towels at a rate of $1.00 per towel for a maximum of 2 bath towels per visit.
  • Members who need a towel and have forgotten their bath towels may also pay a daily rate of just $1.00 for each towel (maximum 2 towels) per visit.
