Welcome to Fitness at the YMCA! The YMCA is a leader in helping adults of all ages and fitness levels achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our trained staff welcomes you to our visit our cardio center and extends an invitation to take advantage of our many fitness programs and facilities. Fitness classes ranging from Pilates to Yoga and orientation on our fitness equipment are included FREE with your facility membership.

Full Size Basketball Court, 25 Yard/4 Lane Heated Indoor Pool, 10 Treadmills, 4 Elliptical Cross Trainers, 3 Recumbent Bicycles, 2 Upper Body Ergometer Cardio Machines, 3 Stair Steppers, Full Line of Body Master Equipment, Nautilus Equipment, Full Free Weight Room, Racquetball Court, 1/3 Mile Outdoor Track, Outdoor Athletic Fields.

Just starting and need help with you workout or want to jazz up your current routine?

Consider a personal consultation. A personal training consultation is a great way to customize your workout. Our staff can help you improve your cardiovascular fitness; muscular conditioning, endurance, flexibility, and can further improve your boy composition through both traditional and innovative techniques to help you achieve your fitness goals. The following applies to our Cardio and Free Weght areas:

  • Orientations are available upon request. Contact the Wellness Staff for an appointment.
  • Teens, ages 13 – 15 must complete the teen fitness training course to utilize the fitness center.
  • Must be age 16 to use the free weight room, or 14 & 15 with training course and adult supervision.
  • Children under 12 are not permitted in the fitness center or weight room.
  • The YMCA reserves the right to deny access to anyone for improper equipment use.

Class Descriptions

Muscular Strength Range of Motion (MSROM)-  45 Minutes

A variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support. ( A Silver Sneakers Program)

Pilates – 45 minutes

A Core stabilization class designed to strengthen and lengthen the muscles of the body through a series of slow controlled movements. Proper breathing technique and posture is emphasized.

Step Aerobics- 50 minutes

An easy to moderate intensity class done on the step platform. You’ll get a total body workout… 30 minutes of step aerobics.. 10 minutes of body toning (alternating upper and lower body)… 10 minutes of abdominal work.

Cardio AM – 30 minutes

A great circuit routine to jumpstart your day. This class will give you a great cardio workout to burn those unwanted pounds. Includes jump squats, abdominal exercises and more.

Shallow/Deep Water Aerobics – 45 minutes

A great aerobic workout that is easy on the joints. Deep water aerobics uses a floatation belt, the exercises are preformed in the deep in of the pool (non weight bearing). Shallow water aerobics are performed in the shallow end of the pool (minimum weight on the joints)

Yoga – 50 minutes

A dynamic flowing sequence of postures linking breath and movement. Practice begins with postures to warm up all major muscles and joints, then moves into a challenging series to build core strength, flexibility, and endurance. All levels welcome.

KickBoxing – 45 minutes

This program will improve your cardiovascular endurance, develop coordination, develop muscle and burn fat.  Cardio Kickboxing is a combination of Karate moves and Aerobics. You do not need to be in great shape to start this class.

Abs Class – 20 minutes

This class is designed to target the core of the body using traditional methods such as weights/ crunches/ etc; and non-traditional methods such as yoga and pilates.

Power Circuit – 45 minutes

A circuit training style program that combines both cardio and strength workouts; uses timed station workouts of varying intensities to burn through the calories. All levels of fitness are welcome!
